• Take part in volunteering on "The Crew"
• Supply the band with drinks during halftime & practices (all students are asked to bring (2) 12-packs of drinks to the band hall
• Supply the band with water during football games
• Help the directors issue Uniforms, Tuxedos and Dresses
• Help the directors check-in Uniforms, Tuxedos and Dresses at the end of the school year
• Assist and participate in fundraising activities
• Attend all performances and show your support!

The Crew

This special group of volunteers takes care of the loading/unloading/driving of the equipment trucks, distributing water during the football games, and handing out cold drinks at halftime. Sign up today!

Volunteer "Hours"

The Nimitz Band Booster Club rewards those who volunteer by keeping track of the hours worked. These hours are accumulated in your child's "account" throughout the school year. At the end of each year, the hours are converted to dollars based on a conversion rate approved by the current Booster Club. This rate can vary from $.50 to $1.00 per hour. After this conversion, the balance in your child's account is figured. This balance can be used towards different band expenses such as the band trip, band banquet, etc.

Your hours may accumulate and carry over through your child's band career. If your child is a Senior, hours can be designated to a member of your immediate family. A request needs to be done in writing, signed by you (parent/guardian) and turned in to a band director. Verbal requests will not be accepted.

Hours can be accumulated for the following activities:

Again, we will not know hourly rates until the end of the school year. This rate depends on how much the IBPA makes at concessions throughout the school year. If you have any questions on how your hours can be used, please contact one of our Board Members.
